Members of the Chequer Inn Ash Society vote to purchase pub
A meeting of members of the Chequer Inn Ash, Society was held in St Nicholas’ Church on Sunday 18th February to vote on the Committee’s resolution that it should proceed to purchase the pub for the community. This video tells the outcome of the day!
The story of a successful community pub
BBC Breakfast this morning were covering #CommunityPubs and featured The Spotted Cow, Holbrook. They were the same situation as us, and their village like ours have bought the pub which is now very successful. Fantastic inspiration to us all. Another £2000 of shares have come in today so we have until the end of the month before the share scheme closes to Save The Chequer Inn!
